Skill level: Intermediate, ages 18 and up.
Combine multiple free-motion designs into complex arrangements with Christina Cameli, author of First Steps to Freemotion Quilting and Step by Step Freemotion Quilting. You will learn four basic approaches to creating varied, organic works from simple elements. Christina will demonstrate techniques and guide you through trying them in your own style. As long as you understand free-motion basics and some common designs like spirals and pebbling you are ready to explore the world of wild quilting!
• 2 fat quarters (solids are best for these exercises)
• 2 pieces of batting 20” x 24” each
• 2 pieces of muslin (for backing) 20” x 24” each
• Notebook and pen for sketching
• Quilting gloves
• Basting Pins
