Quicker by the Dozen, Fridays, 10 am - 1 pm, April 7, 14, 21, and 28
Skill Level: Beginner
Learn how to build 6 fun blocks and assemble your quilt top quickly. In class, you’ll create each of the six different block designs. You will learn a variety of quilting techniques including piecing, cutting with a rotary cutter, stitching accurate 1/4” seams, pressing techniques and more!
Please note: There is homework between sessions of this class. In order to have a completed quilt top by the end of your 4 week class we recommend that you complete the homework assigned at each session. You are invited to attend Friday Nigth Sewcials and use our studio to work on your quilt, please call in advance to check studio availabity.
• Cotton + Steel Quilt Kits are available and include fabric and the pattern for a throw sized quilt.

• Coordinating spool of all thread to match. Suggested: Metrosene (large spool), Aurifil, or Seracor thread

Please purchase supplies in advance of your class. If you plan to shop for supplies the day of your class we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early.
What is a “Beginner” level class at Modern Domestic?
You’ve taken a class or two and are starting to get comfortable with the basics. You know what a seam allowance is, you’ve sewn a little on your own, but you still need a little help with remembering how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. These classes usually have little if any homework to complete outside of class time. The prerequisite for any Beginner class is a Sew Basics class, Learn to Sew class, or equivalent. This skill level is not for people who have never used a sewing machine before.
