ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT Holly Jolly Quilt Block, Lake Oswego Store, Wednesday, October 9, 10am-1pm
Skill Level: Beginner, Ages 15 and up
Let’s make something merry and bright! Inspired by a beautiful bundle of holly berries, this modern holiday block will be a welcome addition to your holiday decor. Using traditional piecing methods, we will make one 13 1/2” block, giving you the skills necessary to independently make this festive quilt top. You’ll learn so many great quilting techniques, including precise rotary cutting, machine piecing with an accurate 1/4” seam allowance, pressing & squaring as you go for stress-free construction, and “snowballing” corners.
* Note: This class is for a single block. You will leave with tips on completing the entire quilt, and ideas for making a finished project with just one block!

What is a Beginner-level class at Modern Domestic?
You’ve taken a class or two and are starting to get comfortable with the basics. You know what a seam allowance is, you’ve sewn a little on your own, but you still need a little help with remembering how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. These classes usually have little if any homework to complete outside of class time. The prerequisite for any Beginner class is a Sew Basics class, Learn to Sew class, or equivalent. This skill level is not for people who have never used a sewing machine before.
