Make the King’s Dash Quilt, a royal refresh on the traditional Churn Dash! This fun Fat Quarter friendly pattern turns ordinary triangles and rectangles into an entrancing optical illusion.

In this class we will dive into basic cutting techniques, piecing, and how to create accurate and consistent 1/4" seam allowances. We will complete the top of your quilt with class time and weekly homework. The studio space is available to work on homework during the duration of your class. Please call to confirm classroom availability for open sewing. We will discuss how to baste and finish your quilt but these steps will not be completed in class.

What is a Beginner-level class at Modern Domestic?
You’ve taken a class or two and are starting to get comfortable with the basics. You know what a seam allowance is, you’ve sewn a little on your own, but you still need a little help with remembering how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. These classes usually have little if any homework to complete outside of class time. The prerequisite for any Beginner class is a Sew Basics class, Learn to Sew class, or equivalent. This skill level is not for people who have never used a sewing machine before.
