Sew Together Bag, Lake Oswego Store, Tuesday & Wednesday, December 10 & 11, 6-9pm
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner, Ages 15 and up
Get ready to tackle zippers and make your own Sew Together Bag! This fun little bag has four open pockets and three zippered pockets. One long zipper closes the whole thing up and also forms a handle on each side. The Sew Together bag looks compact but it’s big inside! Use it as your sewing supply bag, a jewelry pouch, or for those little things that get tend to get lost in the bottom of your bag. In this class you will learn rotary cutting skills, how to sew zippers, create an accordion style pouch, and binding basics. By the time you’re finished you will be a zipper master!

What is an “Advanced Beginner” class at Modern Domestic?
You have a good handle on the basics and are ready to dip your toe into more challenging waters. You’re still fairly new to sewing from patterns and could use help with how to manipulate the pattern to get a better fit. You want to add some new skills to your repertoire (invisible zippers, setting-in sleeves, sewing with a serger, etc.). Classes generally require homework.
