Learn to sew this beautiful tree skirt for the holiday season! In this class, you'll learn how to thread and sew on our Bernina machines, install a bias binding, sew topstitch detail and learn how to sew on a curve! This is a perfect class to learn sewing basics needed to complete a beginner sewing project.

Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before your class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm & Sunday, 11am-4pm. Class supplies cannot be purchased when our shop is closed. 

To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. If purchasing materials online, purchase supplies at least two days in advance to allow for prepping. All class supplies purchased at Modern Domestic get a 10% discount - please inquire for the code. 

Supply List:

- Main Fabric- 1 1/4 yds light to mid-weight woven fabric

- Backing Fabric- 1 1/4 yds light to mid-weight woven fabric

- 1 1/4yds of Fusible Fleece Interfacing

- One spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread (matching to pre-made bias binding is recommended)

- Wash Away Wonder Tape

- 4 yds pre-made bias binding

- 3 yds decorative ribbon

Skill Level:  Learn to Sew - You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.

Class Cancellation Policy: A cancellation more than 72 hours before a class start date receives a full refund or credit. A cancellation within 72 hours is non-refundable. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. We hold this class cancellation policy to ensure our teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations.  Thank you for your understanding.
