Learn to Sew: Sew Basic Class

Our Sew Basic class is the best hands-on introduction to sewing. You will not only learn how to use a sewing machine, but you’ll leave feeling confident and empowered to keep sewing! Everyone is welcome, no matter your skill level.

Learn to sew on our classroom BERNINA 4 and 5 Series sewing machines. Sew Basic is the class for everyone – the new sewist, someone who “hasn’t sewn in years,” and those who are interested in utilizing our classroom machines for studio rental or classes.

In this two-hour class you will sew a small drawstring bag with our step-by-step instruction. We will teach you how to navigate your way around a sewing machine including threading and bobbin winding, using various presser feet, and understanding new terms and sewing tools. By the end of class you will leave feeling ready to work independently on your next project. Sew Basic students are invited to join us for our upcoming “Learn to Sew” classes.

All supplies are included in this class along with complementary access to our Sewing Studio, for up to 30 days after class!*

Skill Level: Learn to Sew - You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.

Class Cancellation Policy: A cancellation more than 72 hours before a class start date receives a full refund or credit. A cancellation within 72 hours is non-refundable. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. We hold this class cancellation policy to ensure our teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations.  Thank you for your understanding.
