Learn to sew this fun and fit fanny pack! In this class, you'll learn how to thread and sew on our Bernina machines, install a zipper, buckles, & add a lining. This is a quick and easy class that teaches you all the basics needed to complete a beginner sewing project.

Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. To purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.

Supply List:

- 1/2 yard light to medium weight cotton (main fabric)

- 1/2 yard light to medium weight cotton (lining)

- 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread

- 1 8" zipper

- 2 yards of 1 1/4" webbing strap

- 1/2 yard Fusible Fleece Interfacing

*Skill Level:  Beginner - You’ve taken a class or two and are starting to get comfortable with the basics. You know what a seam allowance is, you’ve sewn a little on your own, but you still need a little help with remembering how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. These classes usually have little if any homework to complete outside of class time. The prerequisite for any Beginner class is a Sew Basics class, Learn to Sew class, or equivalent. This skill level is not for people who have never used a sewing machine before.
