This is an incredible class if you are new to sewing and want to make an adorable zipper pouch! As with all Learn to Sew classes, this class is ideal for brand new and beginner sewists. You’ll learn machine basics, such as winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and using basic construction stitches. You will also walk away with the knowledge to sew your own zipper. Don’t be intimidated, just sign up!
Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. To purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.

- Fat quarter (or ½ yard of fabric)

- ½ yard interfacing - Craft Fuse 808
- ⅓ yard 1” twill tape
- 14” plastic coil teeth zipper
- One small spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread
*Skill Level: Learn to Sew - You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
