Learn to Sew: Rope Baskets, Monday, May 27th, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Instructor: Colleen Connolly
Skill Level: Learn to Sew*, ages 15 and up
Class Length: 1 Session, 3 hours
This is the perfect class if you want to use your crafty creativity to hand make something on a sewing machine! As with all Learn to Sew classes, you’ll learn machine basics, such as winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and basic construction techniques. No experience is necessary! You’ll leave class with new sewing skills and a basket (or two) that you are proud of making.
Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. To purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm.
Supply List:
- Reinforced Cotton Clothesline (100ft)
- 1 or more Fat Quarters (for creating decorative edges and embellishments)
- 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread (You are welcome to bring more than one spool if you want to experiment with different color threads)
