Wide leg pants are a must-have in any wardrobe. They are a style of trousers characterized by their relaxed fit and distinctive patch pockets. The design offers a comfortable yet modern look with an elasticated back waistband!
In the class, students will learn how to take measurements, draft a pattern, cut, and construct their own Self-Drafted Wide-Leg Pants. Students will be able to customize the design to suit their personal style and will gain valuable knowledge on sewing pants and patternmaking. They'll walk away with a new and fun garment made for their own body.

Supply List:
- 1 1/2yds Muslin
- 2 1/2- 3yds Twill, Denim, or other bottom weight Fabric*
- 1 spool Mettler Metrosene Thread
- 1/8yd Lightweight Fusible Interfacing

*Make sure to pre-wash your fabric in advance of class. This prevents possible fabric shrinkage that could otherwise make your finished garment too small.
*Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - You have a good handle on the basics and are ready to dip your toe into more challenging waters. You’re still fairly new to sewing from patterns and could use help with how to manipulate the pattern to get a better fit. You want to add some new skills to your repertoire (invisible zippers, setting-in sleeves, etc.) and want to have an option to use a serger for finishing techniques. Classes generally require homework.
