In this class, students who have some prior experience sewing will dive into making their own sweatshirts. Our instructor Lori will walk students through how to take great measurements, draft a pattern, cut, and construct their own simple cowl neck raglan sweatshirt. Students will gain knowledge on working with knits and will walk away with a new comfy finished garment!

Supply List:
- 3 yds Sweatshirt Fleece (Main Fabric)
- 1 yd Rib Knit
- 2 yds Braided Cording
- (Optional) 2 Cord Ends
- Coordinating Spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread
- 4 Coordinating Spools of Maxi Lock Serger Thread
*Make sure to pre-wash your fabric in advance of class. This prevents possible fabric shrinkage that could otherwise make your finished garment too small.
*Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - You have a good handle on the basics and are ready to dip your toe into more challenging waters. You’re still fairly new to sewing from patterns and could use help with how to manipulate the pattern to get a better fit. You want to add some new skills to your repertoire (invisible zippers, setting-in sleeves, sewing with a serger, etc.). Classes generally require homework.
