With a flowy silhouette and effortless style, palazzo pants are a must-have in any wardrobe! They are a style of trousers characterized by their wide legs and loose fit, which flare out from the waist and are typically made from light, flowing fabrics like silk crepe, linen, or other natural fibers. The design offers a comfortable yet elegant look.
In this class, students will learn how to take body measurements, draft a pant pattern, cut, and construct their palazzo pants. By the last class, students will walk away with a new and fun finished garment made for their own body.

Supply List:
- 2 ½ to 4yds lightweight fabric like Robert Kaufman Brussels, Linen/Cotton fabric by Merchant & Mills, or 100% Viscose fabric by Atelier Brunette (Yardage is dependent on width of fabric and length of inseam. This supply can be chosen after the first class.)*
- ⅛ yd lightweight fusible interfacing
- 1 yd of 1 ¾" Knit Elastic
- 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread (fabric matching is recommended)
*Make sure to pre-wash your fabric in advance of second class. This prevents possible fabric shrinkage that could otherwise make your finished garment too small.
*Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - You have a good handle on the basics and are ready to dip your toe into more challenging waters. You’re still fairly new to sewing from patterns and could use help with how to manipulate the pattern to get a better fit. You want to add some new skills to your repertoire (invisible zippers, setting-in sleeves, etc.) and want to have an option to use a serger for finishing techniques. Classes generally require homework.
