This Lab is for you if you’re wanting to level up your pant skills just in time for Summer! Hence the possibility of shorts : ) Come at any point in your process. Stuck on making a pair of jeans? No problem! Wanna get your fit just right? No problem! Wanna make pants for the first time? No problem! Maybe you want guidance on how to start and/or learn tips and tricks to make your garment look professional.
You'll have the opportunity to sew on buttons, use interfacing, finish your seams with BERNINA sergers, and learn all about pockets! When choosing your pants or shorts project, it's recommended to choose a pattern appropriate for your skill level. As with all our Labs, you have the ability to sew at your own pace with the instructor’s help to keep you on track and sewing along.

*Skill Levels: All Levels Beginner & up! - You’ve taken a class or two and are starting to get comfortable with the basics. You know what a seam allowance is, you’ve sewn a little on your own, but you still need a little help with remembering how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. These classes usually have little if any homework to complete outside of class time. The prerequisite for any Beginner class is a Sew Basics class, Learn to Sew class, or equivalent. This skill level is not for people who have never used a sewing machine before.
Modern Domestic Labs: You're interested in sewing in a group setting and prefer to have an instructor's guidance on specific techniques and/or skills that are proposed in the Lab's topic. You have the ability to sew at your own pace, the expert help to keep you on track and sewing along, and a variety of options (sometimes endless!) when it comes to choosing the project you want to sew.
