Beginner: Rolled Hem Napkin, Sunday, May 19th, 10am-12:30pm

Skill Level: Beginner*, ages 15 and up

Class Length: 1 session, 2.5 hours 

These napkins are the perfect finishing touch for any host. This class is a great introduction to using a serger for the first time or if you’d like to grow your serging application knowledge.  Add these napkins to any table setting, Holiday party, or give them as gifts. Once you learn how to set up and use our classroom sergers they are so easy to make!

Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. To purchase supplies online and pick up the day of your class, just select NE Alberta Store for pick-up. To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. 

Supply List:

- 2 yards of mid-weight cotton makes 8 napkins 

- 2 spools Maxi Lock Serger Thread

- 1 spool Maxi Lock Stretch Thread

- Fray Check 

*Skill Level:  Beginner - You’ve taken a class or two and are starting to get comfortable with the basics. You know what a seam allowance is, you’ve sewn a little on your own, but you still need a little help with remembering how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. These classes usually have little if any homework to complete outside of class time. The prerequisite for any Beginner class is a Sew Basics class, Learn to Sew class, or equivalent. This skill level is not for people who have never used a sewing machine before.
