Sew a custom e-reader or book sleeve for the perfect cozy gift (for yourself or loved ones)! Bring your own device or book to create a made-to-measure sleeve, or choose from a few sizes that will fit most e-readers, paperbacks, or hardcovers. Customize your padded sleeve with simple quilting lines and your choice of optional closures (narrow ties, wide ties, or magnetic snap).

Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. Class supplies cannot be purchased when our shop is closed. 

To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. If purchasing materials online, purchase supplies at least two days in advance to allow for prepping. All class supplies purchased at Modern Domestic get a 10% discount - please inquire for the code. 

Supply List:

- Your book or e-reader to custom fit sizing

- 2 fat quarters OR 1/2 yd of quilting cotton or similar weight woven for the exterior

- 2 fat quarters OR 1/2 yd of quilting cotton or similar weight woven for the lining

- 1/4 yd of Fusible Fleece (WOF 45”), 1/2 yd of Flex Foam (WOF 20”), batting, OR similar for padding

- One spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread that matches your exterior fabric (you will have visible quilting lines). Optional: an additional spool that matches your lining fabric.

- Optional: magnetic snap (14 mm, 18 mm, or 3/4” size)

*Skill Level:  Learn to Sew - You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.
