Kids Summer Sewing: Make a Canvas Banner! Thursday, July 17th, 10am-1pm

Skill Level: There is no previous sewing experience required! We will cover sewing machine basics in class. 

Class Length: 1 Session, 3 hours

Calling all young sewists! Stitch-up your very own project out of your favorite fabrics! You will learn many fun sewing skills and sew on a BERNINA sewing machine. You’ll practice sewing important stitches and gain experience measuring, cutting, pressing, and at the end of class you will have a fun, handmade project to take home.

About the Project! 

Decorate your room with an one-of-a-kind canvas banner made in your favorite colors. Customize the banner to your heart’s content by adding all the shapes, letters, and fun stitches you like. In this class you will learn how to neatly finish your fabric edges and add decorative shapes and topstitching. Once you get home, you can use your banner to display your collection of pins, buttons, and patches too! All class supplies are included in the cost of the class and will be chosen during the class with the Instructor’s support.
