This horizontal spool pin holds parallel-wound flanged spools and conventional household spools of decorative and metallic thread. Lying on its side, the spool is unrolled rather than unwound, which prevents the threads from twisting.

This guide is ideal for sewing wide seams and hems with decorative threads. Because the pre-tension is bypassed, little or no tension is applied to the decorative thread.
