Make the Pogonip Pullover by Friday Pattern Company. It is the perfect layer for all your outdoor adventures. As an unlined pullover jacket, it features welt pockets, a sport collar, and a snap or button half front placket. It is designed for woven or stable knit fabrics so you can have a lot of fun with your fabric choice. It looks great in everything from quilted fabrics, to fleece, to linen! 

In this class, you will learn how to take measurements, choose the correct pattern size, cut and construct this pullover jacket. 

Skills focus on learning how to install a front placket, add welt pockets, and perfect topstitch finishing details, all valuable skills needed for more advanced garment construction. 

Class Outline: 

First Session- Taking Measurements and Pattern Tracing

Second Session- Jacket Construction

Third Session- Finishing Details

Please Note: Homework outside of class time is needed to complete the pullover in the course sessions. 

Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. Class supplies cannot be purchased when our shop is closed.

If purchasing materials online, purchase supplies at least two days in advance to allow for prepping. *Make sure to pre-wash your fabric in advance of class. This prevents possible fabric shrinkage that could otherwise make your finished garment too small.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - You have a good handle on the basics and are ready to dip your toe into more challenging waters. You’re still fairly new to sewing from patterns and could use help with how to manipulate the pattern to get a better fit. You want to add some new skills to your repertoire (invisible zippers, setting-in sleeves, etc.) and want to have an option to use a serger for finishing techniques. Classes generally require homework.

Class Cancellation Policy: A cancellation more than 72 hours before a class start date receives a full refund or credit. A cancellation within 72 hours is non-refundable. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. We hold this class cancellation policy to ensure our teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations.  Thank you for your understanding.
