Are you interested in hand quilting and ready to learn all about the process? This class is a great introduction to preparing and hand quilting a quilt! In this class, we will piece a mini quilt top, create the quilt sandwich, hand quilt, bind, and attach hanging tabs to create a fun wall hanging.

Please note: This class may require hand sewing homework in between classes in order to finish within the allotted class time.

Supply List:

- Quilting cotton:

- Quilt top: three FQs or three 1/4 yard cuts

- Backing and hanging tabs: 7/8 yard

- Binding: 1/4 yard

- 1/2 yard of lightweight batting like Quilters Dream Request

- 1 spool of coordinating Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester thread for piecing

- 1 package of Clover Golden Eye Embroidery Needles 

- 1 skein of perle cotton thread

- 1 package of Dritz Curved Safety Pins Size 1

Optional:

- 1 yard cording for hanging

- Dowel for hanging

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - You have a good handle on the basics and are ready to dip your toe into more challenging waters. You’re still fairly new to sewing from patterns and could use help with how to manipulate the pattern to get a better fit. You want to add some new skills to your repertoire (invisible zippers, setting-in sleeves, etc.) and want to have an option to use a serger for finishing techniques. Classes generally require homework.

Class Cancellation Policy: A cancellation more than 72 hours before a class start date receives a full refund or credit. A cancellation within 72 hours is non-refundable. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange.
