Learn to Sew: Bandana with Decorative Stitching, Monday, September 21st, 5:30pm-8:30pm

Learn to sew a reversible bandana and add custom stitching! Maybe decorative flowers, maybe a message?! You get to make this bandana unique! No prior sewing experience is necessary. You will learn everything you need to know to thread the machine, cut your fabric, and construct your project in this wonderful class! 

In class, you’ll learn how to create decorative top stitching along the sides of the bandana. And you’ll walk away with enough knowledge to make a matching bandana for yourself!  

As with all Modern Domestic Learn to Sew classes, you’ll be able to come back for a complimentary session of Open Sew to make many more bandanas after your class is done. 

Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. Class supplies cannot be purchased when our shop is closed. 

To purchase supplies in store, we recommend allowing at least 45 minutes to shop. Our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. If purchasing materials online, purchase supplies at least two days in advance to allow for prepping. All class supplies purchased at Modern Domestic get a 10% discount - please inquire for the code. 

Supply List:

- ½ yard (for single color) or 2 fat quarters (for a different front/back) of quilting cotton If wanting to make a larger bandana purchase 3/4 yard of fabric.

- 1 spool of Mettler Metrosene All-Purpose Polyester Thread (TIP: Find a fun color that stands out, so you can see the decorative stitching!)

Skill Level:  Learn to Sew - You have never touched a sewing machine before or it has been years since you have. You know very little to nothing about sewing but you are eager to get started.

Class Cancellation Policy: A cancellation more than 72 hours before a class start date receives a full refund or credit. A cancellation within 72 hours is non-refundable. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. We hold this class cancellation policy to ensure our teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations.  Thank you for your understanding.
