In this class, students will make a beautiful patchwork table runner using a serger! Students can piece different fabrics for the squares before constructing the runner using a flatlock stitch. This is a great introduction for those wanting to learn about how to use a serger and learn serger sewing techniques.
Be prepared - purchase your supplies online or in person before class begins! Class supplies are available for purchase at Modern Domestic. Please note that our store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. Class supplies cannot be purchased when our shop is closed.

- 1 1/2 yds cotton or linen fabric
- 1 3/4- 2 yds cotton or linen backing fabric
- 4 coordinating Maxi-lock Serger Cones
- 1 coordinating spool of Mettler Sewing Machine Thread
- 2 Wonderfil 40wt embroidery floss
- 1 embroidery needle
- 10 pack Wonder Clips
Skill Level: Beginner Serger - Classes teach a specific skill or type of stitch on a serger. This skill level is for people who have used a sewing machine before and are getting comfortable with the basics, but are new to using a serger! You may have never used a serger, only used a serger once/twice, or it has been years since you have.
Class Cancellation Policy: A cancellation more than 72 hours before a class start date receives a full refund or credit. A cancellation within 72 hours is non-refundable. No-shows forfeit any refund or exchange. We hold this class cancellation policy to ensure our teachers are compensated for their time, and other students waiting for spots in full classes are not missing class opportunities due to late cancellations.
